Sens need a D-man in a bad way.
what about something like Zibby, bishop, 2nd for Yandle........or something like that (perhaps not enough for Yandle) |

Do you think Phoenix would have any interest in Matt Read? Although he was a rookie last year, he's 26. Still has 2 years left at a 900K hit, then a UFA. Scored 24 goals last year to go along with 47 pts; pretty good production for a guys with 2 years left at that hit. Flyers are hurting on D right now. Not trying to overextend, buy any chance a guy like Rundblad could be moved for him? If not, what's more likely (if anything)? |

Can't see them moving Yandle his deal is too good, plus if they dealt him for that package (or similar) they'd be 5 mil under the cap floor Personally I wouldn't do that deal unless there was a first, but with the new system of 14 lotto balls I think they will be thrown around a lot less than in the past. |

I think you'd need to add more than Read for Rundblad. while he is good, like you said, he's a little older.
Rundblad has all the makings of a franchise puckmover (similar to guys like karlsson and doughty). not saying he'll be as good, but the potential is there. I think that read will need to show he can do it for at least another year before he has any highend value, IMO. I'd be suspect of a guy who comes out of nowhere to have a great season at the age of 26......jonathan cheechoo anyone? |

Probably he's hard working enough from what I saw, a bit worried that his 24 goal campaign came on a team where Max Talbot could pot 20, Philly was a pure scoring machine from all lines. I'd hesitate quickly on a one for one with Rundblad, seems like a deal that would really make the Yotes look dumb in a few seasons |

wow, didn't realize how low their cap payroll was.
what do you think it would take (from ottawa) to pry away michalek? I think he's probably more what ottawa needs right now anyways. |

The Yotes got him for a mediocre prospect an AHL lifer and a 3rd round pick, mostly cause the Pens were hard up on the cap. Probably a 2nd rounder, he's probably not a guy they'd move though. |

Throwing this out there but the Oilers have a deep offense but are looking for some defense , I think there's a deal to be made between the Coyotes and Oilers. |

I think the problem with those 2 as dance partners is the fact that the oilers need a top 2 or at least a top 4 dman, and in order to get that from phx (rundblad, OEL, yandle, etc) they'd need to part with one of their young forwards, that they likely don't want to part with. i don't think a player like gagner, hemsky, or PRV are going to get you you a top pairing dman, unless the oilers throw in their 1st rd pick, plus another prospect. |

Oilers are a good fit. Blues are looking for a d man as well and have alot of offensive depth. |

You gotta give to get. Oilers will eventually have to trade one of those top forwards. |

I'm alsmost afraid of saying Morris for Horcoff, both can do no good but they can also do no harm, also Tippett might jump start Horcoff's career in a certain way like he did with Klesla , Pyatt and others. |

It's a bit different from Cheechoo. He played 2 years in other leagues (USHL and OPJHL) where he was pretty dominant. Then he went back to college for 4 years. The Flyers signed him late 2011, and he put up 13 points in 11 games on a pretty terrible Phantoms team before making his NHL debut last season. Like Adam said though, Philly was a goal scoring machine last year. Just wanted to throw it out there, maybe the start of a deal. |

you guys have a great young core of D-men,
since my team could use a young veteran D-men to bolster the Isles blue line..
would Okoposo appeal to Coyotes, and who would you suggest trading back?
and dont suggest a 5/6/7th D-man, for a top 6 forward.....
thanks............. |

They'd probably want him. The problem is a veteran dman. No way you get Okposo for Morris so that means one of Klesla or Michalek. I think both would do well for the Isles but there needs to be another piece obviously.

another piece going which way? Isles way?
I've always liked Yandle, and willing to do
Okoposo + Grabner
for
Yandle + #1 pick
helps your offense immediately, plus your loaded on D
